BTS Pass

Fresh proof galleries added.

The Letter and Blood Brothers now have real behind-the-scenes galleries sourced from the filmmaking drives. Review image taste, order and whether they add useful proof-of-life without making the pages feel messy.

Boundary

Nightshades moved to KFS.

Nightshades is KFS producer / executive-producer and studio-infrastructure proof. The JAF source no longer lists it as a director/DP project, and the old JAF route redirects to the KFS case study.

Latest

Review surface refreshed June 15.

JAF remains a reference-quality site for polish and emotion while KFS launch and Gear operations stay ahead of it in the work queue.

Priority

Stable, not the current fire.

JAF is already public and credible. Keep it online while KFS launch and Gear replacement get the heavy lift.

Contact

Direct email remains acceptable.

A better contact form can come later through a reliable provider path. Do not let form work block KFS or Gear.

Use JAF as the quality bar for polish, hover feel, type confidence, project discovery and quiet authority without copying it into KFS or Epic.

The next meaningful JAF pass is project intake: showreel-only projects, awards, press, older films, and projects where James was director or DP.

A shared awards database now exists at data/film-awards.json, with a readable summary in docs/film_awards_database_2026-06-17.md. JAF project recognition has been updated for Colorado, Open Road, Mabel and Because She's Adopted.

Credits

Shared credit registry added.

Princeton and The Letter credits now have a project-credit source registry. Use the KFS crew review panel to fill missing crew names before public project pages get over-expanded.

Navigation

Make projects easier to keep exploring.

Project pages should support clearer previous/next discovery, stronger clickable hero media and better distinction between back-to-work navigation and chronological browsing.

The look was developed through testing, locations and old glass before the film moved into final edit.
